Your business. Your trust.
Privacy notice · Updated September 12, 2026
Grit is a business receptionist service operated by PM Agentic LLC. This notice explains the information used to understand a business, handle conversations, and manage job requests.
What Grit uses
When you set up Grit, we use the business details you enter, the public website or listing you ask us to read, your chosen operating rules, and your account identity. Publicly sourced information is a draft until you confirm it. We use approximate country and region supplied by our hosting provider to suggest availability and language. You can correct that suggestion.
During a conversation, Grit processes audio and the details needed for the request, such as a caller’s name, contact number, service address, issue, and preferred appointment time. Confirmed job details help the business review the outcome. A stored call recording or transcript is optional and is handled separately from the details needed to fulfil a request. We do not ask for card numbers in a recorded conversation.
Calendar access
Connecting Google Calendar is optional. If you connect it, Grit lists calendars you can write to, checks availability, and creates or updates the appointments you authorize. You choose the calendar. Access tokens are encrypted on our servers. You can revoke access in your Google account.
Grit’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used to provide the requested calendar features; it is not sold or used for advertising, or to train generalized AI models.
Processing and access
Grit uses Supabase for account and database services, Vercel for hosting, LiveKit for live audio, Telnyx for telephone routing when enabled, and selected AI and speech providers including Anthropic, Google, Cartesia, Deepgram and ElevenLabs. A conversation uses the providers configured for that service. These providers process information needed to deliver their part of the service. Processing may occur outside your country.
Customer records are restricted to the relevant business account and authorized service operations. Grit does not sell personal information. We do not use caller details to contact unrelated prospects.
Recording and retention
On supported phone services, Grit asks permission before storing a call recording and transcript. Recording starts only after that question has finished and the caller agrees. Callers can decline or ask Grit to stop; the service can still take the details needed for the request. Grit does not turn on provider observability recordings. Public demo conversation records expire after 14 days. Recorded audio and transcripts for EU and UK business accounts are scheduled for deletion after 12 months. Other business records are retained to operate the account, resolve corrections and meet applicable legal obligations. An open dispute or legal hold can delay deletion.
From Data & account on your Today page, you can export your business records or request account closure and deletion. These actions show their saved status; a pending deletion is not presented as complete. You can also request access, correction or deletion by contacting pm@justgrit.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the business before acting. Removing a Grit record does not automatically remove an appointment or message already delivered to another service.
Text messages
Where text messaging is enabled, Grit sends messages on behalf of the business you contacted or set up: appointment confirmations, reminders, follow-ups on a request or estimate, review invitations after a completed job, and, only where you have agreed, seasonal reminders and offers from that business. You agree to receive these messages by giving your number to the business or to Grit for that purpose, by tapping a consent control that names them, or by saying yes when asked on a call; that agreement is recorded. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help; you can also contact pm@justgrit.com. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own marketing; they are used only to send the messages described here and are handled by the messaging providers named above under contract.
Your choices
You can edit business details, change the selected voice, decline optional calendar access, stop a browser conversation, and pause new bookings. Optional job alerts require your browser permission and can be disabled on each device. No permission is requested until you choose to enable them. Phone forwarding is controlled by your carrier and may need to be reversed separately. Contact us if you need help exercising privacy rights available where you live.
